Held in Stafford,
The Midlands, England
Dehara are new deities, created for the fictional world of Wraeththu, about which Storm Constantine has written two trilogies. As a magical experiment, Storm began to create a working system around the dehara, in much the same way as people who liked H P Lovecraft's work created a system based around Cthulhu and the Elder Gods.
The dehara are androgynous deities, greatly inspired by angelic forms, and the picture above shows three of them (Lunil, Aruhani and Miyacala), painted by the artist Ruby. The concept of androgyny and the divine hermaphrodite recurs throughout magical philosophy. The dehara are an expression of those thoughts.
This event is for people who like to experiment with magical entities and new godforms, and are interested in encountering the dehara, and for those already into Wraeththu as a concept. This is a colourful and varied system, and the event will include guided visualisations, temple creation and ritual.
